      2)  current USAT card (If not available, this can be purchased for $5)

The second annual Shark Sprint Triathlon will be held August 10, 2008, for ages 10 and up! Sign ups are going on now!  More info.

                            Summer League This is an opportunity for any child in the community to get in the water and have FUN learning more about swimming.  We are offering a 6-week program that will involve teaching basic swimming techniques as well as learning concepts of training and competition. Children must be at least six years old and be able to swim 25 yards freestyle and 25 yards backstroke. A certified, professional coaching staff will be provided for instruction.  More details.

NWAA Swim Team Try-outs  To try out for the team, you may call NWAA at 479-254-9190.  Entry level swimmers will be asked to swim 25 yards of freestyle (with side breathing), 25 yards of backstroke and demonstrate a dive.  It is recommended that swimmers have knowledge of breaststroke and butterfly as this is not a one-on-one lesson program.  Anyone with questions regarding the developmental and age group program (athletes 12 years of age and younger) should contact Coach Millie Cole coachmillie@northwestarkansasaquatics.org.  Anyone with questions regarding the Senior and National level swimming program (athletes 13 years of age and older) should contact Head Coach Steve Duwel  coachsteve@northwestarkansasaquatics.org .

Board Meeting  A parent board meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 22, 6:30 pm.  Board meetings are open to all members of the club, and all are encouraged to attend.  The office is located at 813 W. Central Ste #2, 100 Centre Building in Bentonville.  If you have any topics to discuss with the board, please contact our secretary Phyllis Overstreet by Tuesday, July 15.
